One of my customers, (as pictured above), tows their Camper's Delight 4WD camping unit with their Hyundai Lantra station wagon.

Brakes are not required by law until a loaded trailer weighs 750kg, and most (if not all) cars should easily tow trailers of a lesser weight.

440kg & 20kg on the tow ball:

Standard camping trailer (suitable for 4wd'g), 12 foot trailer top tent, 2 x 14 inch wheels, 1 x 9kg gas bottle holder, 1 x jerry can holder, & 1 pair of customised stabiliser legs.

480kg & 40kg on the tow ball:

Standard camping trailer (suitable for 4wd'g), 12 foot trailer top tent, 1 large steel tool box (~40kg & ~20kg on towball), half floating floor, 2 x 14 inch wheels, 1 x centre bar, 1 x 9kg gas bottle holder, 1 x jerry can holder, & 1 x spare wheel attachment.

560kg & 40kg on the tow ball (pictured above):

Standard 4WD camping trailer, 12 foot trailer top tent and annex, 1 medium aluminium checker plate tool box, 1 x kitchen package deal (with swing out bench on kitchen), 2 x 15 inch wheels, 1 x 4.5kg gas bottle holder, 1 x jerry can holder, 1 x tie down rail, pneumatic jockey wheel, 2 x wind down stabiliser legs, & 1 x spare wheel attachment.

The kitchen package deal would weigh approximately 50kg and includes a kitchen (with swing out bench), large storage box, and a trunk box.

Weight of box trailer WITH 12 foot trailer top tent AND annex:  480kg
Tow ball weight:  40kg

Weight of 12 foot trailer top tent AND annex (including ropes, poles, etc.):  Approx. 150kg (annex & annex poles would weigh at least 50kg).
