PICTURES  OF  VARIOUS  FEATURES
ON  A
STANDARD  CAMPING  TRAILER:

Pictures of what a standard (hammertone paint colour) trailer with second hand tyres looks like (the tailgate latch has since been replaced by 2 centre over latches, & the tailgates are now hinged so that they can be easily removed).  The sides are 620mm high & the 75 x 50 x (3.0mm) RHS drawbar is 1800mm long in the above pictures.

Swing up jockey wheel comes standard.  Notice the metal conduit running up the internal passenger side of the drawbar - this runs up the entire chassis, housing & protecting the wiring as much as possible.  (Centre bar & tool box in RHS picture are optional extras). Towball has a 50mm coupling.

LED lighting (including number plate LED light) mounted at the side not to interfere with the tail gate.An upright spring lock is attached, enabling the tailgate to be locked in the open position, so it is not moved by wind.

Side opening rear tailgate which can be easily removed by unplugging the wiring, & lifting off the hinges.  The RHS picture shows how I have customised my tailgate to be able to convert to a table in my 'wash bay' area.

The tailgate is closed with 2 lockable centre-over latches.
This provides a better seal, creates more storage space inside,
& acts as a double protection when travelling (ie if one latch comes
undone during transit, the tailgate will still be closed because of the other latch).

All other (optional) doors
use lockable handles.

PICTURES  OF  VARIOUS  OPTIONAL  EXTRAS:

Aluminium tool box (medium size shown in pictures):

The aluminium tool box is attached via hexagon screws, hence, it can be easily removed if needed.  Comes in small, medium, & large sizes.  All sizes are fully sealed & come with 1 lockable 'T' lock, except the large size, which has 2 lockable 'T' locks.  Notice the gas strut which holds the lid open.

Large steel tool box:

This is non-removable, as it is welded onto the drawbar.Excellent catch system
to hold the lid open.

With a sealed, lockable door inserted into the side of the tool box, it is a very secure place to store a fridge, not to mention how extremely easy it is to access the food when the fridge is mounted on a drawer slider system.  (Notice the carrier rack system.)

Carrier rack:

Look how strong it is!!!

The carrier rack can fit HEAPS in it as well as easily carry a boat on top at the same time.

There are 2 different styles of baskets, as can be compared between the picture directly above & the other pictures.  The basket can be removed by releasing the spring lock catch & rolling it out to the side.  This means that you can load the rack much more conveniently on the ground, & then lift it into place.  Also, the frame work can be easily removed by undoing several hand screws or, alternatively, releasing a couple of legs & pivoting it to the side, (as can be seen in the LHS pictures).  I then hook a clothes line off it (as can be seen in the far LHS picture)!!!

Push bike & motor bike racks:

The push bike rack is U-bolted onto the centre bar, allowing flexibility as to exactly where it is placed, as well as easy removal if desired.  No matter what the bike frame, it is easy to put on / take off bikes - this one holds 2 adult bikes & 3 childrens bikes.

The draw bar has been made with stronger RHS & extended to 2100mm long.  Each rack is attached via 2 bolts, & can be faced either way, or removed if desired.  Notice the heaps of tie down points.

Stone guard:

Made with tough canvas interwoven with fibre glass fibres & mounted to centre bar with U-bolts for greater flexibility.

Jerry can holder:

Standard jerry can holder on mud guard.

Modified jerry can holder.  With modifications, it becomes possible to store jerry cans on the driver's side of the trailer where the tent base does not lift.  It is also easier to get the jerry can in and out, as there is less lifting required.

Extra length drawbar, PVC pole carriers, & gas bottle holders:

The above LHS picture shows a trailer with an extended drawbar, to 2100mm long.  It also shows the attachment of 3 PVC pole carriers, great for carrying poles, fishing rods, etc.  A 9 kg gas bottle holder has also been mounted on top of the drawbar, at the front.  The 2 RHS pictures above show 2 types of placement of a 9 kg gas bottle on the back mudguard.

The 3 pictures above show various types of placement of 4.5 kg gas bottle holders on the back mudguard.  A tie down rail above makes it very convenient & easy to lock the gas cylinder to the trailer via the golden coloured bike chain shown in the pictures.

Water tank, hand brake, & tie down rails:

Non-lockable water tank kit.  Hose from tank to tap has a 'T' join section in it so another hose line can run off it, as shown in picture.Hand brake. Pictures showing different lengths &
placements of tie down rails.

Drop down stabiliser legs:

& wound in leg.

also been wound out to length.

The drop down stabiliser leg is released and / or retracted by pulling out the red handle, & locked in place by releasing the red handle, allowing it to spring back into it's position.  However, it generally still needs to be manually wound to fine tune the stabilisation.  This is done from the side - the tensioning nut can be seen through the middle of the red handle.
